Registration of tenders for the design of the green zones of Zorrotzaurre

A total of 21 teams of architects, engineers and landscape designers have registered tenders for the Zorrotzaurre Management Commission’s design competition for the Zorrotzaure green zones that finished today at midday.

14 of the 21 tenders were from temporary consortiums (UTE) and involved 40 companies. 16 of the companies were from Bizkaia, the local province, 12 from Barcelona, 3 from Guipuzkoa, 3 from Madrid, 2 from Valencia, 2 from Holland, 1 from Araba and 1 from the USA.

Interest in the call for tenders from outside the Basque Country is highlighted with 3 international teams participating.

Once the tenders have been analysed, the Management Commission will select five teams which must present their design proposals within a 2 month period. These designs will be examined by a jury (made up of members of the Bilbao City Council, the Basque Government and the Management Commission) which will choose the winner.
